the higher regions together with His Disciples, leaving the multitude below, indicates to us, that the lesser precepts are to be given to the simple, the higher to the more perfect. That He fed them at the approach of the Pasch signifies, that whosoever desires to be nourished by the Bread of the Divine Word, and by the Body and Blood of the Lord, should make a spiritual Pasch; that is, pass over from the vices to the virtues.
